Appreciate that - As a presentation coach, I try to teach clarity. Just remember that your audience might night understand some of the verbiage that is industry specific. Clarity is your friend. If you are wanting to help someone who is not technical, use non technical language that reaches your potential audience.

They throw around credentials instead of telling people how they solve the problem.

Absolutely - There is a quote that says people want to know how much you care, before they know how much you know. Be the solution to the problem and it opens the door to you providing the solutions and discussing it more. You would be amazed at how many people I have say hey I saw a problem with your website. This is how I would fix it. It is kind of insulting to start a first conversation like that.
